AMY BRISSON

Amy is an accomplished finance professional with over 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 9 years in the FQHCs industry. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2008 with a degree in Accounting and spent over five years working as an Accounting Manager in the HOA Management Industry in Las Vegas, NV before finding her passion for FQHCs.

In 2014, Amy relocated to Vancouver, WA, and joined her first FQHC in Portland, OR, as the Director of Finance. She quickly climbed the ranks and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) within a year. In early 2018, Amy relocated to the suburbs of the Twin Cities in Minnesota, where she joined CLC as a remote consultant. As a consultant, she offered her expertise as a Fractional CFO in accounting, budgeting, and operations to FQHCs to further their mission of providing care to those in need.

In 2019, Amy opened CLC's Minnesota office, and in 2020, she became one of CLC’s shareholders. Currently, Amy serves as the COO/Integrator, leveraging her extensive knowledge in financial and operational management, accounting, communication, leadership, human resources, recruiting, C-Suite level coaching, FQHC compliance, project management, and more to help CLC and its clients succeed.

CAROLYN COMMERS

As the Director of Practice Management for a large hospital system and operations manager for 14 multi-specialty clinics, she honed her skills in operational management, financial analysis, revenue cycle management, organizational improvement processes, strategic planning, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. Johanna grew up in Central Washington's rural apple country. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound in 2008, Johanna joined Community Link Consulting. Prior to coming to work at Community Link Consulting as a Billing Specialist in April 2021, Brenda was employed at Blue Shield of California for 5 years as an Examiner in the Specialized Claims Advisory & Preparation unit. There she specialized in all aspects of claims processing including coding, benefit determination, reviewing claims for medical necessity and potential fraud and case management. Four years later he took on the CFO role in a larger health center and then served as CEO for an Idaho healthcare start-up. Tafta is from the picturesque town of Lake Village, Arkansas, nestled along the banks of the majestic Mississippi River in the vibrant "Delta" region. CINDY PRATT

Cindy is a senior-level finance executive with over 20 years of experience in multiple service industries. Over her career, she has found a passion for serving others and truly enjoys working with mission-driven people who care about each other and their patients. She’s had the opportunity to work with the community healthcare movement, where she served as the CFO at two community health centers in Colorado. Cindy has been very active within the Colorado PCA, CCHN (Colorado Community Health Network), working with fellow fiscal directors on improving the CO Medicaid cost reporting process and advocating for changes beneficial to CHCs. In each experience, she focused on developing teams that work together toward the desired outcomes for the benefit of others. Additionally, she has designed and implemented new technologies to improve reporting capabilities and financial planning and analysis activities. She enjoys budgeting and believes when they are used properly, as a tool alongside strategic planning, they are really helpful.

Mark received his accounting degree from Gonzaga University in 2008 and holds an active CPA license. With over 16 years of experience, he has served as an external and internal auditor, a controller, and most recently, as a senior director of accounting in the healthcare industry. TERRY REHDER

Terry joins CLC with over 25 years of experience as an accounting and finance professional. He has worked in various industries, including healthcare, retail food and drug, insurance, and public accounting. For the past 15 years, he’s dedicated himself to working in the healthcare industry, specializing in financial and operational management in the clinical laboratory and hospital settings at both the controller and CFO levels. SUSAN ROBERTSON

Susan joins CLC with more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. For the past 10 years, she worked with a Colorado-based Community Health Center, initially as a grant writer and manager and later as Chief Strategy Officer and Interim CEO. Susan discovered her passion for community health as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Central African Republic and in subsequent volunteer work as a medical interpreter and advocate for African asylees seeking health care services. Susan holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and brings extensive experience in grant writing and management, needs assessment, program development and evaluation, and health center operations.

AMBER SCHOTT

Amber is a nonprofit development professional with a history of building diversified funding portfolios for small, local organizations as well as largescale global organizations. A native Midwesterner, she received her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University, and then began establishing her nonprofit career in a communications role at a small museum within the academic community of Granville, Ohio. Amber has specialized experience in grant writing, grants management, program development and program evaluations, and communication strategies for nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining CLC, she spent 5 years working with a variety of organizations specializing in Education, including the Global Book Alliance Project with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
